Steven E. Fugate, 47, of Kettering, OH, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, January 31, 2012 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Steve was a son of Herman H. & Elsie M. (Watson) Fugate, and was a 1983 graduate of Dixie High School in New Lebanon. He worked 11 years as a printed circuit technician for Thal-Mor Associates, Inc. of Dayton, until his illness prevented him from continuing. A huge fan of the Centerville Elks football program, he formerly served as a volunteer guide at the Dayton Art Institute. Preceded in death by mother Elsie on October 16, 2008.

A loving and devoted father, Steve is survived by daughter Tara M. Fugate of Centerville: father Herman Fugate of New Lebanon: brothers Mike Fugate of New Lebanon; Rick Fugate & wife Melinda of Middletown, OH; and Tim Fugate of St. Petersburg, FL: mother of Tara, Debbie Venys of Centerville: and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cure Starts Now Foundation. Online guestbook and condolences at www.rlcfc.com.
